Our R&D centre of excellence in Edinburgh, has a new vacancy for a Senior Software Engineer [Web Application Developer] to join one of our application development teams, where you will help us to deliver state of the art workflow management and clinical decision support systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work on new and emerging medical technology at the convergence of patient data, medical imaging, and the integration of machine learning/artificial intelligence approaches. 

You will be working within one of our medical web application teams, responsible for coding, testing and documenting small to medium-sized clinical dashboard features using an agile methodology. Implementation will be predominantly in Angular JS, JavaScript, SASS and C#. The work is challenging, fast paced, and intellectually stimulating.

We are looking for experienced engineers that want to further their career in software engineering. It’s important that you have a strong interest in web technology. To be successful, candidates should have an excellent academic record or equivalent skills. You will have 3-5 years software engineering experience, will have worked on some important projects already in your career and you will be able to demonstrate the skills and experience you have acquired.

You will be an excellent programmer, with at least 2-3 years’ experience in web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Ideally, you will also have experience in either Java, C#, or C++. Training can be provided depending on your strengths and requirements.

You should also be comfortable working as part of a team, providing support and advice to junior software engineers, mentoring, and communicating with others. You will be able to confidentially pick up new technologies and codebases as required.
