Our R&D centre of excellence has a new vacancy for a Clinical Product Analyst.  This is an excellent opportunity for potential career advancement and exposure to leading advanced visualization and analytics technology within the medical industry. As a company, we strive to create technology that makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives, helping doctors to help restore their patients’ health and well-being.

You will be part of the Edinburgh based Clinical Team.  Your responsibilities will be mainly focused on understanding and analysing real world clinical problems, exploring potential solutions in cooperation with our clinical collaborators and translate the outcome into product requirements.

As a Product Analyst, you will be informing and educating the engineering team(s) you are working with about the environment and the clinical workflows in which the products they are developing will be used to ensure the product specification context is clearly understood.

During the product development phase, you will focus on product safety, clinical efficiency, user friendliness and performance.  It will be your task to perform acceptance testing and clinical validation of the software your team is working on in cooperation with our network of clinical collaborators.

In summary, you will be the clinical user ‘by proxy’, defining the relevancy, functionality, look and feel of our future products.

Another part of your work will also consist of creating ‘ground truth’ material based on CT, MRI, angiography suite, nuclear medicine and ultrasound image data to train, assess and clinically validate computer algorithms.

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Nursing or a related discipline, having experience with working in a healthcare environment and/or the medical industry, and with a broad understanding of Clinical Care Pathways.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to clearly communicate clinical information to a non-clinical audience, to understand hospital workflows and current and future needs of clinical personnel in the healthcare domain, and to have an eye for medical trends.

You should be highly self-motivated and have an interest for learning new skills, be prepared to use more complex software, have attention to detail and be able to thrive working within dynamic, innovative and diverse teams.

We aim to offer an inclusive, flexible and balanced working environment, by being an employer that cares for and respects its employees. We are part of a global family, that works closely with other development teams based in Japan, America, Canada and France; giving the opportunity of work placements at partner sites. As an employer, we want to provide you the right environment to allow you to develop your career, by giving you time to learn new skills and pursue your own creative projects.
