About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating environment, with exposure to leading edge technology in the medical imaging industry. You will work alongside multiple software development teams, who are responsible for creating scalable and robust services and solutions, that support clinical applications across the global Canon Medical R&D organisation. Your responsibilities will include stakeholder management, requirements analysis and technology evaluation, and the architectural design of platform services and components, to create supportable and maintainable systems.

About you:

The successful candidate will have significant technical expertise in a range of areas, including scalable & highly available systems, cloud technologies and platforms, cybersecurity, RESTful web services, microservices, containerisation and orchestration. Software development experience in Java, Spring framework, C# or C++ would also be desirable, as well as current knowledge of healthcare standards, such as DICOM, HL7, FHIR & IHE.

You should be able to express technical ideas clearly, be prepared to incorporate feedback and able to adjust your communication style for technical and managerial audiences. The role involves working with multiple stakeholders across the organisation and therefore requires an open-minded and pragmatic approach to making decisions and compromises.
