JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

Salary scales £16,651 – £18,211 p.a

Grade: Level 1 (Finance)

Hours of Work: Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 37 and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays.

Location: The normal place of work is the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance, however the EIS may from time to time require you to travel to and work at other offices.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The post holder will contribute to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the English Institute of Sport through:

  • Managing financial administration processes, including raising purchase orders, processing purchase invoices, seeking budget holder approval of invoices and filing.
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve invoicing queries.
  • Liaising with regional Business Administrators and other regional colleagues in relation to financial and procedural matters.

This role does not involve training, supervising, working with and/or being in sole charge of children and young people.

MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

 As a member of the National Finance team, the post holder will:

  1. Process purchase orders on the EIS SunSystems financial software, in accordance with established procedures and distribute them to suppliers.
  2. Process purchase invoices on the EIS SunSystems financial software, in accordance with established procedures and distribute them to budget holders for approval.
  3. Liaise with both suppliers and internal staff in relation to queries about purchase orders, invoices and payments both over the phone and via e-mail.
  4. Any other ad hoc duties as may be requested.
