A little about us 

West Midlands Metro (WMM) is the region’s popular and growing tram network owned by the West Midlands Combined Authority and operated by Midland Metro Limited (MML). Every year we deliver safe and secure, reliable and sustainable tram services to millions of customers across the region. The passion and commitment of our team members have contributed to making us an award-winning transport network which people depend upon every day.

Over the coming years, our network will triple in size, as a massive £1.3 billion investment programme being spearheaded by the West Midlands Combined Authority and Transport for West Midlands is underway. This will allow us to connect more customers to places across the region for work, education, and leisure. The expansion will look to serve over 80 tram stops, with more than 20 transport interchanges and link Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Digbeth, North Solihull, Birmingham Airport, the NEC and HS2 together to improve opportunities.

It’s an ambitious project which will inevitably introduce new challenges.
