The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our management team, providing proactive support to our Chief Executive Partner and Board, ensuring that our meetings and governance run smoothly. 

Our Chief Executive Partner and Board drive the firm’s ambitious growth strategy over the next 3 years, having recently joined Ampa - the UK’s leading group of legal and professional services companies.

As a result of this merger, our clients now have access to more than 900 experts across the group and our teams are part of a wider network with more opportunities for collaboration, support and development.

Your key areas of focus will be:  

  • To provide proactive assistance to the Chief Executive Partner in respect of diary management, travel booking, meeting preparation and expense claims
  • To deal with routine calls and correspondence on behalf of the Chief Executive Partner, liaising with others as necessary for resolving matters in his absence
  • To prepare the annual meeting schedule and prepare draft agendas and packs for meetings including Board and Committee meetings
  • To attend meetings (at multiple office locations), preparing Minutes for Chair approval and circulating Minutes when approved, as well as following up on action items and project status
  • To be a key point of contact for Board, the Directors, Heads of Department 
  • To assist with project management processes and ad hoc projects
  • To be a positive role model and adopt a can do approach to all your interactions with colleagues and other contacts

Skills and experience you will have: 

  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant experience working in a similar role
  • Enthusiasm and ability to provide proactive support to our Chief Executive Partner and board
  • Ability to influence and achieve positive outcomes working with individuals and managers
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines  
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook

We have offices in Crawley, East Grinstead, Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne, Seaford and Storrington. This role will require you to attend different offices from time to time and can encompass some home working.
