Meet the Legal Support Team

 

Our large Legal Support team comprises of 20 Legal Support Assistants based at our offices throughout Sussex. The firm has an ambitious growth strategy over the next 3 years having recently joined Ampa - the UK’s leading group of legal and professional services companies.

 

As a result of this merger, our clients now have access to more than 900 experts across the group. These include new service areas such as planning, cyber security, data protection and risk management, to name a few.

 

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Legal Support Manager to join our team, mainly based in our Lewes and other offices as required. You will to have extensive administrative knowledge in a managerial  role, plus good client care experience.

 

Your key duties will be

  • Managing the Lewes team of Legal Support Assistants
  • Overseeing Document handling – managing the firms post
  • Assisting with supplier management and financials for the team
  • Working closely with both Manager and other Deputy
  • Overseeing the Brighton office
  • Carrying out Admin tasks when necessary
  • Assisting reception cover when necessary

 

Skills and experience you will have: 

  • Previous administrative experience essential, either in a law firm or another office environment
  • Leadership or previous management experience preferred
  • High degree of efficiency and accuracy required

 

 

Key competencies you will need:

  • Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
  • The ability to work in a busy team
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

 

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm, this position requires some travel to other offices so applicants must have a full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.

 

We have offices in Crawley, East Grinstead, Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne, Seaford and Storrington. This role will mainly be based at Lewes but may require you to attend different offices from time to time.
