Purpose of the Role

To support the Director of Business Development to build and deliver income generating projects across National Museums Liverpool and National Museums Liverpool Trading Ltd. This is a key role in planning and developing projects to increase income to defined targets. The post will work with a range of department teams across National Museums Liverpool and external organisations to grow and deliver key income targets, implement improved processes and procedures and help deliver the organisations commercial strategy.

 

Main Duties

 

Reporting to the Director of Business Development you will be required to:

  • Research products, pricing, customers, markets and best practice across the commercial sector and museum and heritage sector.
  • Analyse current performance to identify areas of opportunity to improve income generation and key performance indicators.
  • Develop business cases taking into account all direct costs, sales forecasting, review and management of risks taking into account resource and operational requirements.
  • Build realistic timescales for project delivery.
  • Financial modelling including all direct costs and profit potential for each project.
  • Presentation of business case data and project evaluation reports to key stakeholders.
  • Project management, working with key stakeholders across the organisation to gain input into business planning.
  • Ensure project timescales are met, approval processes followed, project delivery achieved and project evaluation and analysis requirements delivered to maximise commercial outcomes.
  • Build successful relationships across the organisation to ensure project actions are completed and all team members contribute and deliver their actions.
  • Effective use of communication ensuring communication is timely, accurate and via the best method.
  •  Set up processes to ensure project success is measured and reported against targets and KPI’s. Including reforecasting as required.
  • Agenda preparation and minute taking for project meetings
  • Promote positive image of NMLT to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute, as part of a team, to the efficient running of NMLT and the delivery of services at all times.
  • Assist in the development of NMLT’s commitment to Equality and Diversity and promote non discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere to NMLT’s Health and Safety policies and procedures, National Museums Liverpool’s access and Safeguarding policy as well as other appropriate practices and guidelines.
  • Undertake additional duties, as required, from time to time.
  • Undertake training and development courses and programmes, as required.
