What you’ll be doing…

You will participate in project teams and as senior developer, drive the development of the solution ensuring it conforms to the architecture principles and the quality criteria set.

You will also participate in the architecture workshops and help shape the solutions affecting the java stack of applications whilst writing quality code which will be easy to read and easy to maintain. Set an example for other developers to follow.

You will need to educate the rest of the developers, in the java language and frameworks best practices.


What you’ll need…

You will have a great understanding and have had exposure to AWS Development. Exposure to Elastic frameworks such as Search, Kibana and Logstash is ideal and a knowledge of Relational Databases.

  • 8 years’ experience or more in a continuous hands-on role in Java SE as developer.

  • A degree in Software Engineering or similar

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills using Java 8

  • Excellent knowledge of Spring framework (Spring Security, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)

  • Excellent knowledge of JPA

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent knowledge of unit testing principles and frameworks (jUnit, Mockito).

  • Excellent knowledge of Maven

  • Ability to understand existing codebases

  • Ability to pick up new java frameworks and technologies.

  • Knowledge and exposure on J2EE framework and patterns

  • Knowledge of REST web services
