What you’ll be doing…

To be the senior technical lead within the IT Service Desk.  You will be responsible for the management of all PPL infrastructure, such as (but not limited to) hardware, software, security, network and peripherals (including telephony). As well as being the technical lead, this role has responsibility of managing the implementation of service improvements to the organisation and to then hand over of the support to rest of the team. 

You will also be the technical expert and will handle all 3rd line tickets and provide support to the team with their queries.  

What you’ll need…

  • 3- 5 years' minimum experience in an IT-based role, preferably one focused on server and network support
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), security related qualification and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)  
  • Exposure and knowledge of various security layers and cloud services
  • Expert knowledge of desktop software and hardware support, troubleshooting and resolution
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and resilient
