What you’ll be doing

PPL’s Distribution team is responsible for the management and running of all UK and International distributions. Working within the Distribution function and alongside the Music Reporting team, the Distribution Policy team supports the identification, capture, analysis and understanding of music usage data, in order to determine its suitability for use in the distribution of revenues collected by PPL. 

Reporting to the Distribution Policy Manager, you will contribute to the continued development and documentation of distribution policies appropriate for the accurate distribution of PPL licensee revenues. You’ll design and commission of market research to address areas where music use data is not available or is insufficient for distribution purposes, with regular liaison with colleagues in PPL and relevant third parties.

What you’ll need…

We’re looking for someone who is an analytical thinker, with a passion for music and an enthusiasm for data, to be successful in this role you’ll need a good head for numbers and a willingness to learn new skills.

Key requirements:

  • Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ideally some experience or understanding of the music or broadcasting industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful in managing and developing effective customer relationships
  • An understanding of business financials and business reporting would be an advantage
  • Experienced in gathering, recording and interpreting data, including market research would also be preferred
