Any unauthorised use, downloading, retransmission, or other copying or modification of any of the content of the Website may be in breach of statutory or common law rights which could be the subject of legal action. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by Scottish Rugby and Scottish Rugby’s licensors.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scottish Rugby disclaims all warranties, representations and undertakings whatsoever, express or implied, specifically including but not limited to warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, freedom from computer viruses and non-infringement of third parties' rights.

Scottish Rugby reserves the right at any time and without notice to change, amend or otherwise vary these Terms and the Website or any part thereof.

5. Your Information, Data Protection & Privacy

Scottish Rugby is committed to protecting and respecting Your privacy when using the Website.

This clause sets out the basis upon which Your personal data or sensitive personal data collected through the Website will be processed by Scottish Rugby. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), Scottish Rugby is the data controller.

Scottish Rugby may collect and process the following information about You through the Website

  • information you submit or provide through your use of the Website, this includes information provided during any registration process such as Your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, race, religion and sexual orientation.
  • information collected when You report a problem with the Website.
  • information collected when You contact Scottish Rugby.

The Act gives You the right to access certain personal information held by Scottish Rugby about You. This right can be exercised in accordance with the Act but may be subject to a fee to meet Scottish Rugby’s reasonable costs in providing You with such information. By submitting information through the Website, You are consenting to the above use. For certain purposes You may be asked to provide additional consent before Scottish Rugby can process Your personal data or sensitive personal data.

6. IP Addresses & Cookies

Scottish Rugby shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage whatsoever or for loss of profits, contracts, data, goodwill, work stoppage or computer failure resulting from the use of or inability to use, interruption or availability of the Website, its operation or transmission, computer viruses or otherwise in respect of the use of the Website and howsoever caused even if Scottish Rugby has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Scottish Rugby excludes any liability for any errors or omissions from information, materials and functions included in the Website except to the extent that such liability may not be lawfully excluded under the applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law Scottish Rugby disclaims all such liability arising from its or its employees', agents or subcontractors' negligence.

Scottish Rugby operates the Website from Edinburgh, Scotland and makes no representation that the information contained on the Website is appropriate or available for use in other locations outside the United Kingdom.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts. You are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of the country from which you are accessing the Website.
