The Role

The Planning and Resourcing officer is responsible for providing the business with resourcing requirements, project reporting in a fast paced and changing environment.  The role is responsible for the assignment and tracking of all consultants within the relevant business units on existing and new projects and providing advice and guidance on resourcing issues. The right candidate should have the ability to maintain and analyse resourcing data to fully understand the implications of change and articulate this to the Commercial, Planning and Operations Manager and senior members of the Leadership Team.

To proactively assist the Commercial, Planning and Operations Manager and the Sales team to continuously improve the business capabilities and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the Business and provide essential business support to the Sales Team.

You will communicate and liaise with people at senior levels within the industry, you will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team, have a high attention to detail and will be able to adapt to a fast-moving environment and embrace change. You must have excellent organisational skills and be a confident communicator with the ability to challenge resourcing requests when necessary. Good interpersonal, organisational, communication, IT and problem-solving skills are vital.

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Planning

  • Weekly resourcing calls with Project Managers and Global Team Leads.
  • Managing the relevant business units resource forecast
  • Ownership of updating and maintaining the resource forecast spreadsheet
  • Deliver bi-weekly forecast updates to the Leadership team
  • Liaise with the HR team around recruitment.
  • Creation of weekly resourcing reports for circulation to the business
  • Conducting a resource process overview with all new starters.

Sales and Operational Support  

  • To liaise with the sales team to update and consolidate the monthly Sales Pipeline Report
  • Management of the Sales inbox
  • Ad-hoc travel arrangements for the Sales team
  • Assistance with all administrative needs of the Sales team
  • Support and cover for Finance and Operations Officers where required.

Skills and Experience

  • A level equivalent or above, degree preferred.
  • Administrative experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills are a must).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to ensure quality of work, professionalism at all times and takes responsibility for tasks
  • Understanding of financial and operational processes and tasks
  • Flexible attitude, embraces change
  • Adept at managing a varied workload and communicating any priorities and clashes.
  • Good attention to detail, tenacious in following up and ensures completion of tasks.
  • Customer service ethic.
