In order to apply for one of our positions online, you will need to upload your CV and Cover Letter, including your full employment history and why you are suitable for the role. You can use the job description and person specification to support you in writing this. If you do not have a CV, you can download our application form here to use for Black Country Care roles which you can fill in using Microsoft Word and upload this instead of a CV.

Our Recruitment Process

Once you have submitted you application online, it will then be shortlisted by the manager and if successful, you will be invited to an interview or assessment event.

Following this, if you are offered a position with BCHG, you will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks which include:

  • Two satisfactory references, one of which from your current/most recent employer
  • Criminal record check (DBS)
  • Health Assessment
  • Fit and Proper Person Test
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Driving Licence and car insurance for business purposes (if required for the role)
  • Qualifications

Whilst your pre-employment checks are being carried out, you may be invited to attend specific training sessions for your new role. You will be paid for the hours that you have attended training once you begin employment with us.

When your pre-employment checks have been completed to our satisfaction, then a start date will be confirmed to you.
