Job Title: Women's and Girls' Assistant Kit Person

Contract type: 12-month fixed term contract
Hours: This is a part-time role of 18 hours per week to be worked over some weekends and evenings, to include matchday cover when required.
Location: The American Express Community Stadium, Brighton and the People Pension Stadium on match days.

Salary: £9,257.14 per annum based on an FTE of £18,000 per annum.

Women's and Girls' Assistant Kit Person

Roles and responsibilities

  1. To assist in all aspects of kit management.
  2. To assist in monitoring the kit and equipment budgets.
  3. To support the stringent process for kit issue to include regular stock taking, kit request and allocation and support the maintenance of kit and equipment.
  4. To ensure that all first team/reserves/development squad/RTC squads/staff have correct kit throughout the season to include:
    - Supporting the orders placed pre-season and checked on arrival.
    - Supporting further kit orders as needed throughout the season
    - Ensuring players’ and staff preferences are consistently met
    - Ensuring shirts are correctly printed on time as needed
  5. To support the General Kit Manager in providing input, identification and ordering of all first team kit and equipment needs and meet the designated deadlines as determined by the club and Nike.
  6. To support on all matters relating to kit and equipment, under the direction of the General Kit Manager.
  7. To work collaboratively with other relevant key staff and teams to include but not limited to medical, analysis, player liaison, etc.
  8. To establish, develop and maintain good working relationships with first team players and coaches.
  9. To act as an ambassador for the Club and the kit and equipment staff, and must be committed to further enhance the excellent reputation of BHAFC
  10. To demonstrate and uphold the values, ethos and standards Brighton and Hove Albion FC is known and respected for in football and the local community.
  11. To understand diversity and equality challenges within the game.
  12. To adhere to a strict code of club conduct, social media guidelines and confidentiality provisions.
  13. To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required. 
  14. To attend staff meetings that require the kit department to have an input in to the day to day running of the training ground.
  15. To transport players and/or staff in club mini-bus transport as required.

  • To ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements.
  • To keep confidential any information gained regarding the charity, club and its personnel.
  • To represent Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and AITC in a professional manner.
  • To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience


  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or higher
  • Qualification to drive a mini-bus or willingness to undertake
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • High level of communication and listening skills
  • Good recording and reporting skills
  • Competent IT skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Competent overall level of numeracy and literacy

  • Experience of working within a professional football environment in a related or similar role

  • Familiarity with a football set-up
