Location: Lancing, The American Express Elite Football Performance Centre. The role is required to travel regularly both in the UK and overseas.
Salary: £17,000 - £20,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

Laundry, Kit and Equipment Assistants

Roles and responsibilities

1. To be directed by the General Kit Manager as necessary and to include but not limited to the following:

  • To organise timely daily training and match day kit distribution.
  • To ensure the correct kit and equipment are provided for all appropriate home and away games.
  • To prepare, distribute and collect training and match day equipment.
  • To print match and training kits for appropriate Club players and staff.
  • To travel to and assist with first team home and away games when required.
  • To deal with the day to day preparation of the U23 and academy staff's kit and equipment requirements.
  • To allocate training kit to all U23 players and staff at the beginning and during the season, keeping accurate records and kit stock levels.
  • To ensure that all academy squads and staff kits are prepared and that they have everything they require for training. This may require you to continually communicate with the coaches and staff about their needs for training each day.
  • To wash and prepare the kit for matches and training.

2. To work in the laundry room providing support to fellow Kit and Equipment Assistant staff including the following:

  • To wash, dry, fold and putt away kits from training and matches.
  • To prepare match day and training kit.

3. To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required. 

4. To attend staff meetings that require the kit department to have an input in to the day to day running of the training ground.

5. To comply with all company policies and procedures. To adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety and security.

6. To adhere to a strict code of club conduct, social media guidelines and confidentiality provisions.

General duties and accountabilities

  • To support Brighton & Hove Albion FC and AITC in their aims and objectives at all times.
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant club policies, including health and safety policies.
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements.
  • To keep confidential any information gained regarding the charity, club and its personnel.
  • To represent Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club and AITC in a professional manner.
  • To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or higher
  • Valid and accepted enhanced FA DBS CRC (Criminal Background Check) or be willing to undertake this check if successful.

Desirable

  • A full, current valid UK car driving licence
  • Experience of working within a professional sports environment
  • Experience of working in a kit and equipment environment or similar sensitive working environment
  • Experience working in a laundry related environment or similar sensitive working environment
  • Competent IT skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Competent overall level of numeracy and literacy
