THE ROLE
The successful candidate will have responsibility to perform the daily duties within the Engineering Technical Stores to effectively monitor and control the movement of spare parts, tooling & equipment, to create and maintain an effective supply chain in support of fleet maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform goods inward inspections of components including related detailed data entry.
- Monitor & control components with life-limitations, ensuring replacement stock is ordered in a timely fashion.
- Process Critical & AOG requests for spares, arranging transportation on a priority basis and ensuring that shipping information is relayed to the appropriate quarters as soon as available.
- Perform daily exports & imports of parts from/to other stations including Hazardous Goods.
- Participate in the loading/unloading of goods from vehicles and aircraft which may include the operation of Forklift Trucks and other specialised equipment.
- Ensure work area housekeeping & other work practices are maintained which include the monitoring of shelf-lives & stocktakes which need to be performed to required regulatory standards.
- Attendance required at designated training courses & travel is necessary to assist at other company locations as dictated by operational requirements.
Qualifications / Skills / Competencies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail and a positive attitude to work as well as the ability to multi-task.
- A high degree of flexibility as this role is shift based.
- Computer literate and an aptitude towards the understanding of technical data.
- A full EU driving license is essential as is the ability to maintain a valid current airport security pass.
- Previous Aviation Stores experience and/or a technical qualification would be a distinct advantage as would exposure to import/export procedures.
