The Role

This is an important role within CityJet. The successful candidate will be joining CityJet as we look to develop and grow our own brand. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will:

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the oversight and control of the Avionic issues across the Cityjet fleet
  • Create and issue engineering orders, create technical reports in support of issues (e.g. Incidents; Significant Defects) and liaise with MHIRJ and equipment manufactures on resolution of technical issues.
  • Review and Implement Manufacturers Documentation for aircraft Avionic systems and related equipment including but not limited to Service Bulletins, Modifications and Design Changes
  • Providing a detailed review of Airworthiness Directives.
  • Liaise with TCH, OEM, Part 21 Organizations and contracted Maintenance Providers in the development and implementation of repair solutions related to Aircraft Avionic systems.
  • Provide technical support to Line & Base Maintenance relating to Avionic items including defect rectification and modifications across the Cityjet fleet.
  • Focal point for Avionic queries pertaining to Cityjet fleet.
  • Liaison with Type Certificate Holder/ Component manufacturers and vendors to assist with preventative maintenance, reliability, defect diagnosis and modification programs.
  • Support of Reliability section in the identification and resolution of repetitive failures across the fleet.
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of modification solutions in support of Cityjet operation.
  • Provide technical support of Airworthiness Review Certificate process for the Cityjet fleet.
  • Provide technical support for review of incidents and events by Type Certificate Holder, Original Equipment Manufacturers, Cityjet Compliance Department or Regulatory Authorities.
  • To undertake technical related projects as requested and covered within the realms of the Technical Services Department.
  • Assisting in the integration of aircraft into the CityJet fleet.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications / Skills / Competencies

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an airline Technical Services department or in line maintenance with strong avionics background.
  • Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree or B2 License.
  • Have practical or academic background in business techniques.
  • Be fluent in written and oral English.
  • Have exceptional communication skills.
  • Be comfortable with working as part of a team as well as working under own supervision.
  • Have strong computer skills in particular Microsoft excel, visual basic, excel macros an advantage.  
  • Be familiar with Aviation and Aviation Technical terminology.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail required.
  • Experience with AMOS essential.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Experience in a Continuing Airworthiness/Engineering Role essential.
