Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits related to airworthiness and maintenance in compliance with the organisation’s audit schedule
  • Performance of IOSA Internal Audits in compliance with the IOSA Registration Renewal
  • Develop and review the audit programme and compliance checklists.
  • Liaise with internal departments on compliance issues and provide guidance as required.
  • Coordinate action plans and verify the implementation of corrective measures for audit findings.
  • Review and assess legislative and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and presentations for management.
  • Investigate incidents and produce reports as required.
  • Liaise with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and other regulatory bodies on compliance matters
  • Manage aircraft registration/de-registration processes.
  • Development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Assess training programmes related to compliance monitoring and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new company procedures impacted by regulation.
  • Perform aircraft inspections in relation to Aircraft Product Audits

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position
  • A relevant aeronautical degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification (EASA Part 66 Licence).
    • (Note: this requirement may be replaced with an additional 5 years’ experience in a position related to aircraft maintenance and/or continuing airworthiness management.)
  • Have successfully completed a recognised formal ‘Internal’ or ‘Lead’ auditor training
  • Shall also have received training and/or be experienced in the function to be monitored
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of airworthiness regulation & structure (EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part-145)
  • Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems and promotion
  • Strong drive in promoting a quality and compliance culture
  • Proficient in the use of information technology systems
  • Possess personal integrity and objectivity
  • Good judgement on the impact of deficiencies and non-compliances
  • Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to conduct audits at locations of contracted maintenance service providers.
  • Fluent in English

The Following would be Advantageous

  • Certifying experience in Part 145 line / base maintenance environment
  • Experience in coordinating multiple tasks & projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity in the use of AMOS MRO software package.
  • Familiarity with software packages IQSMS and SMS360
  • Proficient in report writing
