CityJet is a regional airline operating wet-lease services with 20 aircraft across Europe. We operate regional routes and provide network connectivity on behalf of major network carriers such as SAS.

We are looking for a Procurement & Contracts Executive who is equally ambitious and eager to be an essential part of our growth.

As a Procurement & Contracts Executive, you will be part of the Procurement & Programmes team. This team sits within the finance function and is responsible for the alignment of business initiatives with corporate objectives and coordination of same with the aim of improving operational processes, as well as cost and risk management.

This team interacts with all departments within the company and up to executive level and as such the role affords access to every angle of the business

As part of this team, it is your responsibility to minimise operational and financial risks, while maximising the performance of CityJet’s contracts. You will be expected to achieve this through effective creation, implementation and management of contracts while ensuring good governance.

As a Procurement & Contracts Executive it is your responsibility to:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative supplier relationships that support the development of excellent operational performance;
  • Develop a strong working partnership with CityJet’s Legal team and key internal stakeholders;
  • Manage Procurement Request For Proposal (RFP) processes as appropriate;
  • Support and coordinate across the company in support of key company projects as appropriate and maintain awareness of other departmental projects;
  • Support wider finance, procurement and legal departments in purchase order, invoice administration and process assurance activities;
  • Maintain a standard set of reporting tools to show contract and procurement KPIs and progress;
  • Provide oversight for cost monitoring and reporting;
  • Ensure that all new contracts follow company approval procedures and result in technical, commercial and legal review and approval;
  • Ensure contract awareness across financial and operational stakeholders, serve as a point of contact, and manage transitions between stakeholders where necessary;
  • Develop and enhance contract processes and practices;
  • Support legal department in drafting of agreements and amendments as required;
  • Support company planning activities by maintaining awareness of upcoming contract renewals and contract rationalisation opportunities;
  • Manage and maintain the company wide contract database and contract signing process; and
  • Other activities as assigned from time to time.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Strong business acumen (an understanding of the operations and economics of the aviation industry would be a plus);
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand and act on issues;
  • Willingness to engage problems outside area of expertise;
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and multitask when needed;
  • Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate;
  • Self-motivation to work independently and proactively;
