What’s the Job?

Responsible for planning the supply of products from a group of third-party manufacturers to meet forecasted demand across ghd’s global business.  Manage the EXO (External Operations) processes in the SAP and JDA systems.

  • What will I do?
    Lead the weekly and monthly processes in SAP and JDA to manage the supply of products from a group of third-party manufacturers. 
  • With accountability for global stock availability, plan the production schedule for each manufacturer.  Review and release purchase requisitions to maintain target stock levels in market.
  • Through the monthly Supply Review, part of ghd’s S&OP (Sale & Operations Planning) process, present the updated supply plans for each manufacturer, along with the impact on customer service, inventory and cost.
  • Working with the manufacturers and the ghd Logistics team, ensure that stock is despatched and delivered according to the agreed service level.
  • Track and report on-time in-full delivery for each manufacturer.
  • Lead the resolution of supply issues as they arise, agreeing actions plan with the manufacturers and the ghd teams in the UK and Hong Kong.  Anticipate issues to help manage Supply Chain risk. 
  • Working with the Master Data team, ensure accurate data is maintained within SAP/JDA and, with the cross-functional project teams, be responsible for the correct set up of new products.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of new products and Limited Editions to market.  Represent Supply Chain within NPD (New Production Development) and Limited Edition project teams.
  • With the rest of the Supply Planning team, support the clear and accurate communication of launch plans for new products and Limited Editions.
  • Ensure stock accuracy targets are met through correct processing of stock movements.
  • Identify every opportunity to drive out excess and obsolete inventory.

 

  • As Limited Editions planner
    • Take responsibility for Supply Planning a Limited Edition from start to finish.
    • Work with the other EXO Planners to manage the delivery of required electrical and non-electrical components.
    • Build and execute a delivery schedule to meet market forecast requirements.
    • Represent Supply Chain on the cross-functional Limited Edition project teams.

 

What skills and qualities will I need?

  • 4-5 years Supply Chain experience including experience of working with external suppliers.
  • Ideally experience within a fast-moving, international consumer products business. 
  • Strong and effective organising and communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to work under own direction to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in SAP or JDA would be ideal.
  • Customer Service focus, both internally and externally.
