An FCA regulated company with over 30 years’ experience in the funeral planning industry; Golden Charter is one of the UK’s leading funeral plan providers. We help people plan their funeral to make a difficult time easier for everyone. We work with over 2,900 branches of independent funeral directors, offering more choice than any other provider. We have around 200 staff working throughout the country, with our head office based in Glasgow.

Jo McLeod

Senior Product Management Executive

Following several years as an employee within the Emergency Services, I decided to undertake a new challenge in the form of a career change. I joined Golden Charter in 2017.

As a new member of the Legal Services Team, my colleagues were friendly, welcoming and taught me everything I needed to know about the industry. They were passionate, good humoured, and most importantly, put people first.

As a business, Golden Charter have provided the support and flexibility to allow me to continue my university studies and have actively encouraged personal development relevant to my role; providing the sponsorship and time necessary to complete additional professional qualifications.

This culture of improvement has allowed me to progress within my career and I have since moved up two levels within the business, gained new skills, confidence and experience.

Five years on and now a Senior Product Management Executive, I still enjoy my varied role, the challenges that it affords and the friends that I’ve made along the way.
