Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contact Group Project Officer, on a fixed term contract until 30th March 2020. The successful applicant must have the ability to be dynamic and forward thinking in their approach. Contact is looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives on challenge. The successful applicant must have the ability to be confident to work independently. The majority of the role will be based from a home location; however occasional travel within the UK is essential.
Purpose
Drive forward projects identified by Contact partners to improve collaboration within the Armed Forces community, while also managing the online presence and administration of the Contact group.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of the Contact strategy, based on a broad knowledge of the Armed Forces community and of current mental health issues
- Guided by the Chair, manage projects which satisfy Contact objectives
- such as common assessment of patients and case management
- Organise meetings and workshops
- Manage dealings with associate members of Contact
- Provide advice and guidance to members based on broader understanding of overall workstreams of Contact group
- Create up to date reports for stakeholders to keep all parties abreast of project progress, including the tracking of relevant KPIs
- Write collaborative responses to policy issues or other areas where a group response is needed e.g. responses to sector consultations
- Overall responsibility for the functional administration of the Contact Group
- Oversee work of Contact focus group
- Manage and maintain the Contact website
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Ability to work autonomously while responsive to direction from above
- Experience of communicating complex information, verbally and in writing
- Ability to tailor language and tone to a range of audiences and stakeholders
- Experience managing digital content for multiple entities or a collaborative group of organisations
- Ability to coordinate workstreams of multiple entities or a collaborative group of organisations
Desirable
- Understanding or experience of the Armed Forces and the Rehabilitation and Recovery Pathway of servicemen and women
- Knowledge of current issues concerning the mental health
