RECOVERY MANAGER – CATTERICK, NORTH YORKSHIRE

Help for Heroes, leading Charity for the Armed Forces Community, is seeking a Recovery Manager to lead its Catterick Recovery Centre in North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to make a real impact.

Our Recovery Centres work with a network of professionals and partners to help serving members of the Armed Forces, but also ex-Servicemen and women and their families.  We achieve this through physical and emotional rehabilitation and recovery.  We also identify new career opportunities and offer financial and welfare support.

This is permanent role and offers a real opportunity for the right candidate to develop, inspire and lead a team to deliver first class recovery services within a geographical area to include, the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland whilst collaborating widely, inside and outside, of the charity to further the charity’s cause.

We are looking for an experienced manager, capable of leading a team with expertise in welfare, sports, psychological wellbeing and career recovery as well as administrative and facilities team members who ensure the smooth running of the Recovery Centre.

The role reports through to the Operations Director and is responsible for the Implementation of recovery services in line with our policies and procedures, and delivery of an outstanding experience to beneficiaries.  The role will work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity to inform and deliver the charity’s strategy within their area.

We would expect the successful individual to demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain appropriate relationships in line with the Charity’s strategic direction.

The Centre has an income and expenditure target and the Recovery Manager will manage this with a focus on efficiency and innovative delivery in the most impactful manner for beneficiaries.

Job Purpose

 

Developing, inspiring and leading a team to deliver recovery services within a geographical area whilst collaborating widely, inside and outside, of the charity to further the charity’s cause.

 

 

Accountabilities

 

Implementation of recovery services in line with policies and procedures, and delivery of an outstanding experience to beneficiaries.

 

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity to inform and deliver the charity’s strategy within a geographical area.

 

Support, nurture and lead a team to deliver against the charity’s key performance indicators.

 

Within assigned geographical area:

  • Subject matter expert in relation to veteran services
  • Develop and maintain appropriate contacts in-line with the charity’s strategic direction

 

Deliver against income and expenditure targets, with focus on efficient and innovative delivery in the most impactful manner for beneficiaries.

 

Manage risk associated with service delivery to ensure safe operations and maximise the reputation of the charity.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

Leadership and management

  • Role-model the charity’s values

Beneficiary Experience

  • Strive to improve the beneficiary experience and beneficiary outcomes across the assigned geographical area
  • Plan, resource and lead the delivery of recovery services
  • Ensure the charity’s policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Provide useful and actionable insight on how the charity might improve the beneficiary experience
  • Provide insight on the services available within your geographical area, and support the national services team with service development as appropriate
  • Attract beneficiaries by working with partner agencies, charities and other organisations
  • Oversee the input into the Customer Relationship Management system ensuring timely, accurate information and ensuring cases are appropriately managed on the system

 

Relationships

  • Represent the charity as primary point of contact within geographical region
  • Forge and sustain productive working relations with other charities, external organisations and partners which align and support the service delivery model for our beneficiaries (including military as appropriate)
  • Build and maintain appropriate relationships to fulfil status as ‘subject matter expert’ within a geographical area

 

Operational

  • Attend meetings as appropriate so geographical knowledge is incorporated into the charity’s plans
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes and procedures in accordance with the charity’s objectives and strategic direction
  • Manage income and expenditure to budget
  • Manage the charity’s premises and assets as required
