There is an exciting opportunity within the Partnerships Team to support Team UK to the Invictus Games until 1st June 2020.

This year for the first time Help for Heroes in partnership with The MOD and The Royal British Legion will be hosting a national games in Sheffield 2019. This will not only be a competitive games in its own right but serve as the Trials for The Invictus Games The Hague 2020 providing  recovery for WIS and their families.  

In light of the success of the team in gaining sponsorship for Team UK there is the opportunity to join the Partnerships Team to work on this exciting project. The role will support the Sports Partnerships Manager in delivering stewardship to a portfolio of sponsorship partners for Invictus UK Team Trials Sheffield 2019 and Invictus Games at The Hague2020 as well as forming part of the core operational team ensuring that commercial priorities are factored into decision making.

Job Purpose


  • To assist with the development and management of our mid value corporate sponsorship and commercial partners supporting Team UK to Invictus Games 2020
  • To support the Sports Partnerships Manager in delivering stewardship to a portfolio of sponsorship partners for Invictus UK Team Trials 2019 and Invictus Games at The Hague2020







  • Account manage a portfolio of mid value corporate sponsorship and  commercial partners supporting the UK Invictus Team 2019/2020
  • Support the Sports Partnerships Manager on agreed sponsorship accounts
  • Provide high level stewardship in line with the sponsorship tiers ensuring all partners receive best in class relationship management. Ensure that the approved tiered benefits are realised for corporate sponsorship and commercial partners



Main Responsibilities

  • To manage a  portfolio of mid value corporate partners, with responsibility for maximising income and delivering best in class relationship management
  • To support corporate partners by delivering project management and day to day support
  • To ensure that all UK Invictus Team 2019/2020 partners receive excellent donor care and management
  • To ensure that the approved tiered benefits are realised for corporate sponsorship and commercial partners Supporting the Marketing and Comms planning team to ensure all sponsors receive their marketing / comms assets in line with their sponsorship tiers
  • Supporting the development of systems and processes for the Sponsor Onboarding process and stewardship plans for the duration of their sponsorship and tiers
  • Providing project management support with responsibility of developing a Gant Chart/Calendar of sponsor activity to track key deadlines and milestones
  • Supporting with the planning of the stewardship events including sourcing venues, looking into costings, dates and associated logistics


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience



  • Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment, preferably within the third sector
  • Experience of relationship management/account management
  • Understanding of the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda
  • Understanding of donor cultivation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Strong administration skills
  • Pro-active and uses own initiative with a determination to ensure the charities maximize income and In Kind support opportunities
  • An effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills
