Responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and controlling all aspects of individual projects from order acceptance through to final invoicing. Also responsible for achieving or exceeding the estimated Sales Margins whilst ensuring technical and contractual security of projects to the satisfaction of the customer.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead, Engage, motivate and support a team to deliver projects.
- Timely execution of contracts from the Project Handover Meeting until customer acceptance and/or final invoice payment. On behalf of the customer the Project Manager co-ordinates resources to ensure:
- Manufacture and/or installation of the plant/systems to meet the agreed scope and technical specification
- The contract is completed on time
- Customer questions are answered promptly and suitably recorded
- That J & E Hall Ltd performs as required in all areas to deliver to the customer's satisfaction. The project manager shall act as the customer's representative
- On behalf of J & E Hall Ltd the Project Manager ensures:
- Contracts are completed at or below the estimated cost
- Additional charges are made for extra work or changes to the agreed scope of work in accordance with the conditions of the contract
- Risks are minimized and according to levels of authority are highlighted to the Customer and PSM&A Operations Manager
- Contracts are managed so they can be invoiced and paid for as early as possible to maximise cash flow
- Oversight of all Contracts being undertaken (ensure correct budget control, programme control, WIP reporting, invoicing are being carried out by Project Managers)
- Department wide standardised procedures are followed,
- Company Quality Assurance and Health & Safety procedures are followed,
- Co-ordinate the resources of the Company, Suppliers and Sub Contractors
- Work with the heads of departments to ensure quality project delivery
- Monitor the contract throughout in respect of costs and progress against plan, providing regular reports to the PSM&A Operations Manager.
- Assist with debt collection procedures
- Procurement of equipment and services using IFS and within the company Levels Of Authority
- To perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- UK travel to visit customers and suppliers to ensure correct completion of the project
- Limited International travel (within the EU) to visit suppliers for inspections etc.

- Project management skills with strong planning and organisation
- Great communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Required Experience
- Proven people management skills
- Demonstrable Project Management skills from within the refrigeration (or related) sector
- ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering (desired)
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Thermodynamic discipline
- Background in mechanical, chemical and process engineering.
- Full knowledge and capability to create the project documentation required in the Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration Market.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, pressure and instrumentation diagrams and preferably, electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics (desired)
- Knowledge of general contract conditions and financial management

Our contracting business is based out of our head office in Dartford and regional office in Leeds. We develop bespoke refrigeration packages using ammonia, HFC, HFO, CO2 and hydrocarbon refrigerants in the most demanding conditions.
Our industrial refrigeration design services assist clients at every stage of a project from system conception to commissioning and on-going support.
