Kymab is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indications. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, integrated platforms collectively called IntelliSelect®. Kymab’s platforms have been designed to maximize the diversity of human antibodies produced in response to immunization with antigens. Selecting from a broad diversity of fully human antibodies allows for the identification of antibodies with optimal drug-like properties.
 

Purpose and Scope of this Opportunity:

We are seeking to augment our existing project management team by recruiting a highly experienced project management professional who will take responsibility for the project management of a sub-set of Kymab’s antibody development programmes.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To prepare project plans and associated budgets for projects in Development through liaison with key personnel within Kymab and with external contractors.
  • As part of planning and forecasting to generate different scenarios based on changes in time, cost and risk.
  • To take operational responsibility for monitoring progress to plan for programmes and to plan work, and manage time, to ensure that projects meet deadlines.
  • To actively track budgets.
  • To generate reports for different stakeholders.
  • To organise and run project team meetings.
  • To identify risks arising on project management issues and to create contingency plans in collaboration with the project teams.
  • To maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with Kymab’s policies and procedures relating to quality standards within Kymab.
  • To prioritise tasks in accordance with Kymab’s priorities.
  • To maintain a high standard of professionalism when representing Kymab both internally and externally.
  • To participate in shaping the continuing development of the project management strategy within Kymab and the continuous improvement of the project practices, systems and processes.
     

What we would like to see in your skills and experience:

  • A relevant life sciences degree or equivalent. Formal project management training preferred.
  • Significant experience of project management in the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly for drug development, with an established track record of managing complex programmes. Experience of biologics drug development with later-stage experience being particularly valuable. Experience of working with external partners.
  • Use of project management tools such as MS Project to generate timelines, risk logs and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled at running team meetings.
  • Confident in presenting to different audiences including management groups.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, collaborative style with colleagues and teams within the company and with external advisors including CROs and consultants.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organisation and foster an efficient and supportive team atmosphere
