Kymab is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a deep pipeline of novel antibody-based therapies in a broad range of indications. The Company generates its product candidates using its proprietary, integrated platforms collectively called IntelliSelect®. Kymab’s platforms have been designed to maximize the diversity of human antibodies produced in response to immunization with antigens. Selecting from a broad diversity of fully human antibodies allows for the identification of antibodies with optimal drug-like properties.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Network Engineer to work across the management and configuration of in-house systems. This individual will work purely within a technical networking and infrastructure capacity.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for maintaining and managing internal monitoring systems (PRTG/WhatsUp GOLD)
  • Configuration, maintenance and installation of network equipment – switches, routers, firewalls etc
  • Management of storage systems hardware, software and firmware (NAS, SAN etc)
  • Reviewing and assisting with strategy for server patching, client patching and server/client firmware upgrades
  • Maintenance and review of backup + DR technologies including routine maintenance
  • Maintenance and configuration of network security devices
  • Train other members of the team on services and systems under the responsibility of the Infrastructure and Network Engineer where appropriate
  • Other duties as may be required

Education & Experience: 

  • Networking experience working with Cisco/Netgear, DHCP, DNS, Meraki, SonicWall, VLAN/QoS & VPN
  • Infrastructure experience using systems including Hitachi SAN, QNAP NAS, Starleaf, Veeam & VMware.
  • Further experience on Mobile Device Management, Mitel and WhatsUp GOLD would be beneficial.
  • Experience working on Ubuntu Linux, Cisco OS and Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Experience working with Cloud systems such as AWS, Power Automate and Terraform would all be beneficial.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise work, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
