Senior Practitioner - Outside the Wire
£24,102 - £26,088 per annum (including Essex weighting)
37 hours
Temporary for 12 months
Based Colchester, Essex
Are you ex-forces and looking for a challenging and rewarding role?
Are you passionate about recovery from substance misuse?
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time post working with serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families who have issues with alcohol and drug misuse. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, managing a caseload, completing recovery care plans, and providing information, advice and needle exchange to substance users.
A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics and client case stories to support the future funding of the service, therefore you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.
The office base for this post is Colchester but will involve extensive travel across Essex, therefore the ability to drive and access to a car is essential. Evening work may sometimes be necessary depending on the needs of the clients.
This post is restricted to veterans of the Armed Forces and is funded by The Royal British Legion. This is a 12-month contract but with the possibility of extension.
