THEATRE TECHNICIAN (emphasis on sound experience)

 

MAST is a multi-art form venue presenting and producing theatre, dance, music, comedy, spoken word and family shows. We work with the best touring companies and local artists to present a diverse, vibrant, high-quality artistic programme, alongside our own MAST productions and co-productions. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technician to join our busy friendly Technical & Production team.

 

In particular you will:

 

  • Support the Technical & Production Manager and Senior Technicians in the efficient running of all aspects of the Technical & Production Department, with a bias towards Sound.
  • Ensure that all Technical, Facilities and H&S aspects of the department are delivered to the highest quality.

 

Our ideal applicants will have a mixture of the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

Experience and in-depth knowledge of theatre sound installation & operation. 

Experience using DiGiCo desks & QLab software.

Good working knowledge of other aspects of technical theatre including Stage/Flying, LX and Video.

Knowledge of repair and maintenance of technical equipment.

Experience of working on mid-scale get in/fit ups.

Excellent team building and motivational skills.

Electrical/ portable appliance testing and front line repairs.

Computer literate.

Good attention to detail.

  • Counterweight Flying
  • Working at Height
  • Manual Handling
  • PAT Testing

 

Salary is £24024 per annum and UKT get outs will be paid where appropriate.  Evening and weekend working will be prominent in these roles. Interviews will be held at MAST Mayflower Studios.
