1. PREAMBLE
This website is offered by the National Childbirth Trust (known as NCT), a Charity registered in England and Wales (801395 and in Scotland (SCO41592) having its registered office at 30 Euston Square London NW1 2FB.
NCT is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to NCT Careers (the “Site”). Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect the information that you provide to us.
By registering or using this Site, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy.
NCT is registered as a controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent body set up to uphold information rights.
Keeping your personal information safe is very important to us and we are committed to complying with privacy and data protection laws and being transparent about what we are doing.

I. when you visit or register on the Site you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including your name, address, email address, telephone number, role sought;
II. if you apply for jobs, the information you provide in any application will also be stored and if you upload your CV to the Site it will be stored on our server;
III. we may also collect information about your usage of the Site, as well as information about you from e-mails or letters you send to us, or from e-mails you send in response to jobs advertised on the Site;
2. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
2.1 Your information will enable us to provide you with access to the Site and to supply our services, and to contact you when necessary. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business.
2.2 If you apply for a job through NCT Careers, your personal information (whether submitted to the Site or direct to the Careers Portal (including your Personal Profile and CV) will be stored on NCT servers and will be accessible by us and will be used to evaluate your application.
2.3. We retain all information and CVs for six months. If you would like us to delete your personal information or to remove a CV that you have uploaded please either delete your details yourself or send an email to
jobs@nct.org.uk
and provide details of your request.
3. CVS
You may choose to make your Personal Profile and/or your CV available for us to search. You may remove your Personal Profile or CV from our searchable database at any time.
4. AGENCY INTRODUCTIONS AND REFERRALS
If you provide us with details of a candidate, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person is aware that you have forwarded his/her details and has consented in writing for you to do so. We will ask you to provide evidence of candidate consent.
5. COOKIES
5.1. Cookies are small data files which are stored on your computer when you use a website. Cookies make using a website much easier because they remember your personal settings such as your username and password, what’s in your shopping cart, what you just searched for, etc. This way, you don’t need to re-enter information on the site.
5.2. The cookies on our website do not allow us to identify you personally. They allow us to see the trends in how people use our site so we can make improvements and adjustments so your experience is better.
6. SECURITY
6.1. We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
6.2. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. 7.1. You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to the Site and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
