I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
If you have already created a user account, click the Reset Password option on the login page. This will send an email to the email address entered. 


Does The R&A offer internships or work placements?
All of our vacancies will be advertised on our recruitment portal. Unfortunately we cannot always accommodate work placement opportunities.


Do I need to upload a new CV for every role I apply for? 
No, once you have uploaded your CV you will not be prompted to upload again. You can update your CV at anytime via My Account > My CV. We will ask you to submit a new cover letter, tailored to the role you are applying for. 


What format should my CV and cover letter be in?
The supported files types are Word (.doc or .docx), Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Text (.txt).

If you are unable to upload your application then please email it to recruitment@randa.org, stating which vacancy you are applying for, and we will be able to upload it for you.


Do I need to have eligibility to work in the UK to apply?
The R&A is an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from all applicants. We will request to see proof that you have the right to work in the UK before you commence employment with us, usually a passport or valid visa. Unfortunately, we are not able provide sponsorship for individuals to obtain work visas.


What happens after I have submitted my application?
After the closing date (occasionally before, if we receive sufficient applications) we will shortlist candidates. We will contact you if you have been successfully shortlisted and explain the next stage in the process. If you have not been successfully shortlisted we will also contact you to advise of this.

If you have been successfully shortlisted you will normally be invited to attend an interview, the format of which will vary depending on the role. This may include a panel interview with competency-based questions. Depending on the nature of the role, you may be asked to prepare a small task or presentation. You will also have the opportunity to ask the panel any questions you have about the role or The R&A.


What pre-employment checks do The R&A complete? 
An offer of employment at The R&A is subject to checks to verify and validate the information previously provided. With your permission, we will request two references including one from your most recent employer and we will also ask you to complete a Pre-Employment Questionnaire via our Occupational Health provider. This information is not viewed by The R&A and remains confidential.
