Your Opportunity and Role

Rawlinson & Hunter (“R&H”) is recruiting for an Investment Accountant in the Trust & Wealth Services Department (TWS).

The Wealth Reporting Services team deliver regular reports to individuals and families, consolidating their entire net worth, delivering information in a clear format, regardless of the complexity of their assets. Report types include wealth consolidation, investment performance, and expenditure analysis in addition to management accounts.

By applying the same measurements, standards and independent valuations across the portfolio, the result is an impartial view, autonomous from the investment making process. Being committed to capturing information at the granular level is vital to see the whole picture.

Our clients are typically Ultra High Net Wealth (UHNW) individuals or families, each of whom are unique and receive a precisely tailored service.

As an Investment Accountant your day to day work will encompass:

  • Preparation of customised wealth and investment reports.
  • Preparation of general ledger reporting, including trial balances, financial statements, management accounts and statutory accounts.
  • Advising clients on accounting treatments.
  • Preparation of investment performance reporting.
  • Reconciliation and analysis of data prior to report production.
  • Supervising junior members of staff to ensure all postings are performed in a timely manner.
  • Analytical review and sign off of reports prior to client distribution.
  • Client liaison to HNW/UHNW families and their advisors.
  • Contribution to the system review and upgrade process.
  • Development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes.
  • Support of new business development opportunities.

  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate information on a timely basis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an analytical mind.
  • Aptitude to delegate to junior staff appropriately and supervise their work.

Areas which will differentiate the candidate:

  • Experience of investment reporting systems, such as Advent APX.
  • Familiarity with general ledger software, such as Infor 10 Sun Systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of more technical financial instruments, such as private equity or derivatives etc.
  • Client service experience with private clients and family offices.
