The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registrar to join the existing Collections, Learning and Research team.  Reporting to the Head of Collection Services the successful applicant will lead the Registrar and Documentation team, manage collection management procedures, balancing risk to the collection with public access.

The successful candidate must have experience in a variety of museum registration tasks, have experience of managing a team, be able to work flexibly, be highly organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines. They must be an effective and professional communicator, able to engage with stakeholders and build relationships at all levels across the organisation.

Hours

36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.  The role is a hybrid one with some remote working, including some office-based activities and travel to other sites. We are open to the office based activities being based at any of our sites.
