Equality Statement
UK Sport is a recognised equal opportunities employer and positively
encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates
regardless of age, disability, gender
reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, sexual orientation, pregnancy and
maternity, race, religion, belief or gender.
Process
Vacancies are normally advertised for a minimum of seven days but this will
normally be around two weeks.
When you apply, you will be required to submit a CV and a personal
statement indicating how you think you meet the criteria.
Due to the volume of applications, UK Sport will only contact those successful
and selected for the first interview stage. This normally happens between seven to
10 days after the closing date of the vacancy.
If you don’t hear from us, you have regrettably been unsuccessful at
this stage.
Interview Stage
If your application is successful, you will get a formal invitation for an interview with
full instructions. Normally first interviews will consist of an unseen task
followed by a panel interview but additional selection methods may be used if required. The intent is always to be able to assess the level of skill, knowledge and competencies linked to the role.
Based on your performance you may be called for a second interview
which will normally take a more informal approach. You will also be given instructions before you come.
If you are not successful at this stage, you will be notified by a member
of the HR team who will also provide you with feedback.
Successful Candidates
If successful, you will be contacted and an offer will be made.
Please note that all employment offers are subject to receipt
of two work references that UK Sport finds satisfactory, medical fitness,
identification which stipulates eligibility to work in the UK and confirmation
of your last three years of employment or equivalent. If relevant, UK Sport will
also seek to obtain proof
of qualifications.
